 Start 3D Model Builder (Geometry Pack)
Click on  and Project
Open Drawing CurvesWheel
Draw points for inside and outside of the wheel
Draw the lines
Select the lines
 Press View Rotate as the action
Rotate the view as illustrated
Press Move as the action
Click on the lines to select them (hold the SHIFT key)
Copy the lines
Copy (hold CONTROL key) and move the lines
up to  20
Draw triangles
Press Triangles  to draw triangles
Draw  triangles around the inside and outside of the wheel (Wireframe view can help you see the points behind other triangles)
Draw triangles
Draw the triangles around the inside and outside as illustrated
Change the view
Press View Rotate as the action
Rotate the view as illustrated
Change the lighting
Finish drawing the triangles around the inside and outside of the wheel
Press the lighting  button to show smooth lighting
The outside and inside of the wheel are now nice and smooth
Copy the lines
Copy (hold CONTROL key) and move the lines
away from the side of the wheel as illustrated...
Draw triangles
Draw new triangles
for the side as illustrated
Press the normals  button to show lighting normals
Move the side back
Move the triangles
for the side of the wheel back into position
Press Save to save the model
